Bank Restoration Project
 
MCC is restoring wetland and native plantings on the South bank of Mission Creek. The project is funded by the SF Estuary Project and by SF Beautiful.
 
Volunteer Opportunity – ’07 & ’08 work starts  10 AM Saturday March through December
Continues every Saturday 10 AM to 1 PM, with lunch provided by Goat Hill Pizza.
Current schedule: Dec 1, 8, & 15, Jan 5, 12, 19, & 26.

Wear appropriate shoes. Work gloves and a shovel are handy but not necessary.
Vanishing Waters Project
 
Vanishing Waters, A History of San Francisco’s Mission Bay by Nancy Olmsted, was published by MCC in 1986. Almost all copies have been sold. MCC is seeking funds to republish Vanished Waters, including new material found about the Coastal People (Ohlone) who lived here for many hundreds of years preceding European settlement.
